EDITOR – INTERACTIVITY

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

Producing more infographics and interactivity content for the unit and clients and maintaining the level of accuracy and speed of SMS services. Reporting diorectly to the Interactivity Managing Editor

Job Responsibilities:

Send speedy and accurate news alerts (politics, economics, presidential and parliament) to subscribers, making sure we are ahead of competition

Contribute in compiling content for new scheduled alerts such as fitness tips or horoscopes

Suggesting topics for political and economic infographics, covering Egypt, Middle East and the world as well as providing all data needed for them

Follow up with designers on execution of the topics and delivery on due dates

QUALIFICATIONS

1-2 years of experience in an editorial position

Good command of english language (reading and writing)

Extended knowledge of the Egyptian political and economic scene

Serach skills and information verification

Very good command of MS word and Powerpoint

Availability for night shifts, weekends and national vacations

Be a team player

Have a sense of urgency

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It would be a plus to…

Have worked in digital media (websites, mobile apps, web TV, etc)

Have a degree in mass communication

Attended coursework in journalism

Good command in Excel

Be confident presenter
