Safety Coordinator • Assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of Industrial health, safety, environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Responsible of all safety tasks at the different Multinational customers’ sites including the preparation of all the required documents, Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. 1- Ensure the development, implementation and updating of required written safety and health programs and plans. These may include, as needed: a- Hazard Communication Program b- Exposure Control Program c- Hazard Assessment and Personal Protective Equipment Program (PPE) d- Respiratory Protection Program e- Emergency Action Plan f- Others ( Relevant) 2- Ensure that quarterly safety training and all other specifically required training is provided for all employees. 3- Ensure that the programme of occupational injuries and illnesses is maintained. 4- Conduct accident/injury investigations and illness exposure monitoring. 5- Conduct investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints. 6- Maintain required safety and health documents/files. 7- Ensure periodic inspections of all motorized vehicles. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Must have knowledge or training in the following: occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable Laws ,regulations and standards. Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive health and safety accident prevention programs. Skills: • Ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees. Strong communication skills • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). • Ability to work at all levels within and organization and the ability to work in a diverse work group. • Must be able to work with other safety personnel in corresponding plants to meet consistency.
